Quickly unlock your scooter from any phone screen

Unlock your Gogoro from any screen using your iPhone widget center. Just follow these simple steps to activate. 

[Devices are running iOS 10]

STEP 1: Slide left to widget page, scroll down to the bottom, and tap the “Edit” button.

STEP 2: Tap the “+” button next to Gogoro and move the widget to the top for easy access.

STEP 3: Tap the “Done” button. Your shortcut is all set! 

[Devices are running iOS 9]

STEP 1: Slide down notification center from the top of your iPhone, tap the "Today" option at the top left, scroll down to the bottom, and tap the “Edit” button.

STEP 2: Tap the “+” button next to Gogoro and move the widget to the top for easy access.


STEP 3: Tap the “Done” button. Your shortcut is all set!

Please note that keyless control will only be available on phone models which support BLE peripheral mode.

Can I disable the front and rear positioning lights?

For your safety, it is not possible to disable these positioning lights.

Why is the Smart icon blinking?

When the Smartscooter™ is climbing uphill under heavy load, the system might automatically activate Smart Climbing Mode, which will cause the Smart icon on the dashboard to start blinking regardless of your Smart Mode status.

When the Smart Climbing Mode is activated, in older versions of iQ System the motor output will automatically reduce.

The climbing will be smoother and energy use more efficient, resulting in extended climbing mileage and reduced frequency of battery swapping.

To avoid this, simply update your iQ System via your phone or by visiting a Gogoro service center.

Why doesn't my headlight turn off immediately upon entering lock mode?

It can if you want for it to. Please go to the Gogoro® App, select Customize, and select Headlight Delay. You can set it to be Off or to have a 10, 20, or 30 second delay.

Why I can't I pair the Gogoro App with my Smartscooter?

There are a few possible reasons

  1. Phone unable to meet minimum system requirements, including for Gogoro 2 Series support for BLE peripheral mode. Check Device Compatibility.
  2. Hazard button (Gogoro 1) or Smart button (Gogoro 2) was not pressed for long enough for Smartscooter™ to enter Bluetooth pairing mode
  3. Hazard or Smart button was pressed when the Smartscooter™ was off, meaning that the Smartscooter™ was unable to enter Bluetooth pairing mode
  4. Latest version of Gogoro® App not installed or opened
  5. Incorrect Gogoro® App account credentials Once able to address all the following, you should see the “iQ System™ icon on the dashboard start blinking, which will indicate that the pairing process has started.

For safety, please shut off the motor before pressing the Hazard Button to start the pairing process
